This module is designed to provide the basic steps involved to install and maintain BTSs in mobile systems. This module targets the field engineers, student who want to have field experience and installation teams. This module discusses the site preparation, power requirements, structural considerations, cabinet installation, earthling and RF cabling. It provides the procedure to be followed for connecting input power, pre connection checks and connecting AC/ DC power. This training also discusses the BTS architecture and hardware equivalents for different BTSs. Example Huawei and Ericsson standards. At the end, this module discusses commissioning of BTS, pre power up checks, powering up, shutdown and decommissioning. On completion of this module, the participant can able to understand the various steps involved in installation, commissioning and maintenance of BTSs in mobile systems.
